Dragon Age Inquisition Fanart

An Envy! Saarebas Inquisitor x Cullen Rutherford scene to illustrate a Dragon Age: Inquisition fanfic. We used lots of Qunari refs, story-friendly designs, and some real-world myths, classical paintings and archetypes for this. โ™ฅ

The fic is in AO3 and is called ‘Risk of the Saarebas’

An illustration of Dragon Age: Inquisition characters. This is a fully-rendered digital painting using only gray tones and a strong red that slashes the composition diagonally. A dark-skinned woman with medium-length, dark coiled curls, and a prominent pair of horns, holds a man in place. Her name is a title โ€” Saarebas. Both are sitting on the ground, which is also a bright red and is evocative of magical blood pooling under them. The man, Cullen, has short blond hair, white skin, and is clad on an intricate and adorned armor that looks ceremonial, although well-suited for combat as well. Dark patches of fur from a heavy cloak cover his shoulder. Cullen surrenders under Saarebas: She holds his right arm in place, presses a barefoot over his left thigh , and points a dagger at the man's throat with her left hand. They are surrounded by a frame of floating arms, red strings and crystals. The man's sword lies stuck to the ground, unused, useless. Both characters have their faces almost turned to the viewer โ€” Saarebas grins and looks at Cullen with malice, as the surprised man tries to look at the woman, in awe.
