I’m proud to announce my work in the location cards for KupoCon. ♥
They’re exclusive printed collectibles made for the attendees of the event, and part of a collaboration with hundreds of cards and dozens of artists.
A big thank you to the KupoCon team, this has been an incredible experience! Furthermore, I have dear memories in Final Fantasy, so working in these cards is a blast.
Softwares: Blender, Krita, Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint.
Making the illustrations
We needed to create faithful tributes to the franchise while maintaining creative, unique twists.
I start by drawing rough line sketches with POV ideas. Once we’re satisfied with an option I build its proper structures and lines, as well as make any 3D sketches if needed.
Then it’s time to refine until the final stages, and make sure the final files fit the printing and file standards.
I made 3D bases in Blender for some of the cards because this would allow me to easily change a scene’s POV and play around with angles and compositions before picking a final thumbnail.
More cardgame illustrations.
I also painted a FFXV poster-style artwork to illustrate the FFXV Anniversary celebrations.
Almost all characters, weapons and lines are pointing at Lunafreya’s heart!
Enjoy, and thank you!
