A selection of anthro dog drawings. Whenever drawing creatures I gravitate towards canid features.
Software: All of them were made in Clip Studio Paint, which has a gorgeous selection of textured brushes, plus other beautiful custom brushes and image materials in the assets store. I’m using some asset store pencil brushes, but CSP’s default pencils are marvelous already.
I like those blue lines “burned” onto the drawing.
This drawing’s high-resolution file and its .csp with open layers is available to my patrons. The blue lines are made via a simple layer style variation.
A painting of another canid creature.
Anthro Great Dane
I wanted an elegant, muscular creature that felt otherwordly and dignified. I also experimented with using soft textured “paper” layers in CSP.
This creature and the hyena below also have their hi-res versions available to my patrons.
An anthro hyena
This one has more image materials, such as the “paper” texture overalll, and lines around the character.
Long Descriptions
First Creature
Portrait of an anthro dog creature with a bun of fur tied on top of its head, like hair.
Great Dane
Grayscale digital sketch of an anthropomorphic canine creature. They sit on an invisible background, and the face is reminiscent of a great dane dog.
Hyena
A grayscale sketch made on top of a fine-grain paper texture. An anthropomorphic hyena stands erect while checking their back pocket — in search of their wallet, as their other hand holds an open drink can. They’re surprised. The hyena has a faux-hawk, misses part of her left ear and dons a piercing on their right ear. They wear a vneck t-shirt and jeans.
