DnD Equipment art | Bloodsilver Helm and Assassin Moth Blade

DnD Equipment art in a snowy, still life painting style, made for a 5e DnD magical item guide cover — Calloval’s Magical Items by Cody Lewis or Relevant Audience Games.

These are the “Bloodsilver Helm” and “Assassin Moth Blade” found in the book. When beginning this collaboration, me and the client discussed some rough tests displaying the items in a still-life, snowy scene.

I was given a lot of creative freedom and could pick from any of the book’s items to illustrate. This was overall a pleasure to paint, thank you Cody!

The images have been Glazed.

The print is up in my INPRNT and Patreon as well.

Refs and WIPs

Among references is the iconic Sandor Clegane/Hound helmet from Game of Thrones, snowy photos, and Suzanne Helmigh‘s works for Grim Dawn, which I’m using as a quality standard. Having a goal or master work like this among my refs helps me polish my art further.
This is how it started. We used this to discuss placement and some details, such as the moths.
3 drawings with side-views of a wolf helmet and how the jaws work when it opens.
Side view rough made when I was figuring its workings and geometry.

Patreon supports my personal work, studies, public content, live streams and timelapses. ✨ Thank you!

Patreon is a big motivator for my personal work and studies. I use it to share access to hi-res sketches, open .psds, art insights. and more. Please note that the rewards are distributed via Tiers.

You can find some personal projects in my tags and sites with writing, worldbuilding, tutorials, freebies, live streams and timelapses.

My Patreon charges when I finish a paid content package. It is done once a month maximum, or a couple of times per year.

When we think about Patreon what comes to mind is that it’s a monthly subscription, but mine is a bit different! I decide when to charge, and this allows me to study and organize work schedules with more ease.

You can also become a Patreon follower to have access to my public posts.

Thank you ♥
